Save the planet Poster

This poster was created for an environmental team that asked students to design artwork around the theme "Save the planet." I wanted the image to tell a story, so I created a woman made of wood to represent nature itself. She cries as she looks at factories polluting the sky, oil spilling into water, a bear drinking from contaminated water, a ship leaking oil, and trees being cut down.

Sketches & Reflection

I used contrast between the beauty of the woman and the destruction around her to make the message clear. The poster is meant to show that damage to the environment affects everything connected to it, and that protecting nature is something that should be taken seriously.
